Who’s the Canvasback Kid?
The “Canvasback Kid” was a nickname of my grandfather, Dan Quinlan. He got the name when he was a bare-knuckle boxer in New York back in the 1930s. He wasn’t very good. Though he did win one fight - one that he was supposed to lose, so he had to run for his life. So to honor him and the stories I tell, what better name could there be?
